The Coach store near Union Square, off 5th Avenue, was buzzing last night with fans eager to meet supermodel Karlie Kloss and Lucky Magazine editor-in-chief Eva Chen. Recently reopened, the store glittered with holiday items and their signature luxe leatherwear. Kloss and Chen showed off the designer brand’s latest looks: functional leather pieces that evoke both timeless elegance and trend. Kloss, the face of Coach’s newest collection, looked classy in some amazing leather trousers with a basic and cozy merino wool sweater; and Chen sported an utterly fabulous leather pencil skirt in an olive green that matched her nail polish with a stunning, yet classic cable knit turtleneck.
The event, publicized through social media, was a huge success as lines of eager ladies waited to chat with the glamorous hostesses. Bite-sized apps and cups of warm cider were served while customers could fawn over the brand’s latest collection. When asked about which piece in the store was on Chen’s must-have list, she answered without hesitation: the (aptly named) Carly Boot is a stylish, yet functional over-the-knee beauty perfect for the coming season. Chen also pointed out the amazing leather scrabble set, which Coach is selling as a limited edition item that would make a truly unique Christmas gift for any gamers on your list.
What was most amazing about the event was the care and time that Eva and Karlie took to speak with every attendee. The long line was well worth the wait, because it only took so long since these lovely ladies were truly taking the time to get to know their fans and followers. Eager to dish industry advice, beauty tips, and personal tidbits, Chen and Kloss also had a genuine interest in the fans’ lives which made the event so much more special.
