More Than Just a Pretty Face
MAC collaborates with Marcel Wanders, and makes design/makeup lovers swoon

MAC, one of our all-time favorite makeup moguls, has collaborated with another leading name in a very different industry. Marcel Wanders, the Dutch industrial designer whose work has graced homes, museums and magazine spreads alike, has helped create a MAC collection that is as pretty inside as it is out.

His designs are known for a "classicism-meets-futurism" approach, the MAC site states. In addition, the cosmetic colors are reportedly inspired by the paintings of Johannes Vermeer, and designs evoke "a sense of love in the product."

Some stand-out products include the MAC and Marcel Wanders False Lashes, which is actually not false at all but rather an ultra-luscious brush and thickening formula that will create the look of a false lash without all that messy glue. In addition, the black mirrored metal powder compact and sleek candle-stick-shaped lipsticks will leave you torn about which you love better: the makeup you're wearing or the package it comes in.

The complete collection includes products for face, eyes, lips, as well as a scent concentrate called Air of Style and beauty tools to boot. The MAC and Marcel Wanders collection is available for a limited time only at MAC stores, MAC counters and online. But shop now, because they'll be history after December 26.
