For its 42nd season, Lincoln Center Out of Doors festival is back in action! Until August 12th, attendees can enjoy outdoor music and dancing for FREE.
While enjoying over 100 performances and events throughout Lincoln Center’s plazas, refreshments are available to keep you energized at the Street Food BBQ Stand. Don’t worry, beer, wine, and cocktails will also be sold in the Damrosch Park area.
Broaden your horizons and relish the talents of diverse musical acts. From folk to Irish rock, there is bound to be a performance that appeals to everyone. To learn more about the festival and see the full lineup, click here!
When we think of a feast, we usually hope that rodents are nowhere in site, especially not on the table. Artist Laura Ginn disagrees. This past Wednesday at Allegra LaViola Gallery, Ginn brought New Yorkers together to display a hunter-gatherer themed presentation that concluded with eating cooked rats.
The event, titled “Tomorrow We Will Feast Again On What We Catch” was priced at $100 per person. To raise funds for the occasion, Ginn created a Kickstarter page on which she shockingly, but successfully raised the $2,000 she had requested.
When it comes to unique bar experiences, there is only so much variation from one to the next. An ice bar is the exception… and we are thrilled that Minus5’s new location will be right here in the Big Apple.
Grub Street reported that the spectacle will be welcomed to its new home at the Hilton Hotel midtown this coming November. In this wonderful creation, EVERYTHING is made of ice: the walls, seating, glasses, and intricate decorations.

The Anthem Group is pleased to announce its third annual “Children Around the World” Charity Date Auction. The event will take place on August 10th at Down Ultra Lounge where ten of Boston’s most eligible bachelors will be auctioned off for a touching cause.
Proceeds from the event will go to the Children of South Africa (CHOSA), an organization focused on providing aid to orphans and other vulnerable children in South Africa. In addition, the money will also benefit internally by going toward Boston’s Police Department’s community outreach program.
This past Saturday we were delighted to attend Marvel US Management’s first “Fashionably Marvel US” Showcase at Glo Ultra Lounge in New Brunswick, NJ. Every other Thursday, the management company will put on a different event showcasing the outstanding talent they represent. This week, we were lucky enough to see the AMAZING styles of Jimmy Swagg, Inc.
Jimmy Swagg is an up and coming sunglass phenomenon with the unforgettable motto “Health, Sex, and SwaGG." Each pair is reasonably priced (in the $50-80 range) and each style is associated with a different charity. When that style is purchased, a certain amount of the proceeds are sent to the respective charity. The philanthropy does not stop there: As a goal for the future, they also hope to involve the Long Island high school systems in their mission to give back.
Dreamt of driving a Lamborghini or a Ferrari, but could never afford one? Well now you can! On August 4th, The Ultimate Super Car Track Event at Homestead Miami Speedway is offering an array of opportunities for avid driving fans.
Participants that are at least 21 years of age will have the chance to get behind the wheel of an exotic sports car of their choice around 2 laps of the 2.25 mile professional racetrack. Don’t worry, those who aren’t 21 can ride shotgun with an expert instructor. Not too shabby.
This exhilarating experience will allow you to accelerate at your own leisure and reach speeds over 100 mph without worrying about getting a ticket! Click here to purchase tickets for this epic event that you do NOT want to miss!
If per chance you’re in search of a rooftop experience equipped with cobblestone, a firepit, an antique car, and a 14th Century vibe, boy do we have the place for you. Above the interactive Shakespearian production, Sleep No More is the company’s newest addition, Gallow Green.
For those who aren’t familiar, Sleep No More is a performance inspired by Romeo and Juliet/Macbeth/Alfred Hitchcock and takes place in its intricately designed 100-room building, the fictitious “McKittrick Hotel.” In hopes of providing a more relaxed environment for before shows, after shows, or just in general, Gallow Green supplies a unique setting to enjoy some fruity cocktails.
