LIV it up this week at LIV and Arkadia

Entering Alice’s wonderland was an experience that no one should have missed over Halloween weekend, LIV morphed into a fantasy world complete with giant mushrooms and jokers on stilts, but this week, it’s time to leave the dream world behind and enter back into the reality we know and love where confetti falls from the ceiling and champagne flows freely. LIV kick starts the last few months of 2010 with Dirty Hairy Wednesdays this Wednesday November 3, as Italian duo Crookers takes the DJ booth. Not to be outdone, FlipSide Fridays presents Scooter, known for his fast sounds matched with rap lyrics.

ROK Thursday Night the Right Way at Rokbar

What could be more fun than sipping alcoholic concoctions from 20 neon glow-in-the dark straws out of a HUGE vat while listening to the hottest array of house, hip hop, rock, pop, and rap? Sounds like the best, if not only, way to spend your Thursday nights and after a successful launch of Joonbug’s ROK’em Thursdays at Rokbar last week, you can do just that. This Thursday November 4, make your way to Rokbar where resident DJs King Benjamin and Danny Daze will be spinning the best of open format.

Hey Ronnie Brown... Check please?

Miami is all about living the luxurious lifestyle and what better way to be treated like a King or Queen in the city of sunshine and splendor than by being served a thick juicy steak by a celeb himself? On November 8, Morton’s Miami Beach makes this all possible when it is set to host Celebrity Waiter Night where Miami Dolphins runningback Ronnie Brown, linebacker Karlos Dansby, and other Dolphins players, will be exchanging aqua and orange mesh for white cotton aprons and serving the locals in high class style. Proceeds will benefit the Pros for Africa Foundation. For $250 you can be served a four-course meal featuring menu items such as crab cakes, filet mignon, and double chocolate mousse.

Tuesday Nights at Favela Beach

After a few nights of costumes and disguises, it’s time to dress up South Beach style and THE place to see and be seen on Tuesday nights is at Favela Beach at the Wall. Tonight October 2, Resident DJ Ross One will be spinning alongside DJ Ruen, and of course, in true Favela Beach fashion, there will be a surprise special guest performance. Just because Halloween weekend is over, doesn’t mean it’s time to stop partying, so grab your friends, put on your classiest beach wear, and head to the Wall when doors open at 11.

Halloween Hysteria Hits LIV

Halloween might be synonymous with pumpkins and goblins, but in Miami it means one thing; an excuse to dress up while partying. And in the nightlife capital of the South, the celebration continues all week long. What better place to celebrate the #1 party week of the year than at the #1 club on the beach with some of the worlds top DJs spinning house and open format?

Wednesday October 27, Dirty Hairy presents Riva Starr, easily one of the hottest DJs of modern house at present, alongside resident DJs Ross One, Contra, and Jessica Who. Starr’s music is an eclectic mix of genres and world influences.

Getting Chic at Favela Beach

Fresh off last week’s successful launch of Favela Beach at Wall, Joonbug.com and OneFifty are back again this Tuesday, October 26. Last week, Bobby Brown serenaded a packed house with hits such as the ever so popular song, Satisfaction, as the chic and trendy crowd rallied late into the night. This Tuesday will be no different, with sounds by resident DJs Ross One and King Ben and a Special Surprise performance. The infamous Tuesday night party will definitely be THE spot to see and be seen on South Beach from here on out. Doors open at 11 p.m..

Miami Heats Up

As the rest of the country cools down and gears up for the long frigid winter months, Miami is heating up, courtside that is. Lebron, D-Wade, and Bosh will officially tear up the court for the Heat season opener on October 29, and in honor of the Heat, Area 31 will be starting its new Miami Heat Happy Hour, soon available for every home game. ‘Tis the season to swig back a glass of Area 31’s specialty cocktails, like Hot Crush, while chowing down on King James Croquettes. This inspired Happy Hour menu has a $5 theme; everything from the drinks, to the food, even parking so you can safely get your buzz on before walking, or metro-lining, over to the Arena to catch the game.
