This year’s line-up was programmed by World Music/CRASHarts, Inc., and promises to be fun. Two francophone acts: Caravan Palace with their irresistible gypsy jazz electro-swing rhythms, and the high energy Tabou Combo, the “Ambassadors of Konpa”, Haiti’s national dance music. An Italian Ice with flare is hitting The Metropolitan Club just in time for summer, Boozy Italian Ice. So simple, this off-menu age old treat has finally grown up. The missing ingredient to the time-less treat? Alcohol.
The Met is offering three spiked ices to choose from. There’s a Watermelon-Vodka Italian Ice, a Tamarind and Spiced Rum Italian Ice, or an updated classic, the Limoncello Italian Ice and all the ice as well as the limoncello is make in-house. The Boozy Italian Ice will cost $10.

This week have a variety of Scandinavian dishes to celebrate the arrival of summer at the Beacon Hill Hotel & Bistro with a traditional “Midsommar Middag,” or “Midsummer Dinner”. Celebrate like they do in Sweden with a feast that includes cured salmon with potatoes in dill sauce and cucumber salad. The prefix menu will also offer some acquavit, an alcoholic drink commonly served in Scandinavia.
