Exclusive Interview with Dream Downtown's Noah Tepperberg
The inside scoop on Tepperberg's latest spot, Dream

Noah Tepperberg can be described as no less than a nightlife mogul. He and The Strategic Group are responsible for opening some of the hottest spots ever; including Avenue, Marquee and Artichoke Pizza in NYC and TAO and LAVO in Las Vegas.

Their latest project, Dream Downtown had a launch party on June 15th, which was described as simply, "Epic." Quite a crowd came out to celebrate the much anticipated opening, including singer Eve, Solange Knowles, Tyson Beckford,  Shenae Grimes, Kellan Lutz, and Kara Dioguardi, just to name a few. The new spot hasn't officially opened its doors to the public, but it's already being touted as the "next big thing." We got a chance to chat with Noah about Dream and what's to come for the new lavish hot spot.

What was the inspiration behind the Dream Hotel?

The Dream brand was conceived by my long time friend and new business partner, Vikram Chatwal, who describes the property as eclectic and surreal. Dream combines high design and technology in a boutique hotel. It's an avant-garde splash of hospitality fantasy.

The opening party had a great turnout, who showed up to celebrate?

The opening of the Dream Downtown has been much anticipated. With summer here, people are looking for new venues with access outdoors. City Council president Christine Quinn helped cut the ribbon to officially open the property, which began in the early evening and went well into the night. As you can see from the pictures, there were many important New Yorkers in attendance for the unveiling of Dream Downtown's Marble Lane Restaurant, The Beach at Dream Downtown and PH-D Rooftop Lounge.

When is Dream officially open to the public?

Dream Downtown is currently in its introductory/preview phase so right now services are limited. The entire property will be open at the end of the month (June).

What are key elements to the hotel?

For Marble Lane Restaurant, our vision was to create a high quality, moderately priced 3 meal-a-day  amenity for the hotel guests but with the energy and impact our restaurants, like LAVO, are known for.  The idea for The Beach at Dream Downtown was to give our guests an experience that makes them feel as if they are in a resort city like Miami or LA but with an urban twist. The café and bar adjacent to the pool have the ambiance one would find when sitting on the deck of luxury motor yacht. At PH-D Rooftop Lounge, our mixologist has created an incredible menu perfect for a sunset cocktail at 6pm, which I suspect will be a prime time to try and grab a seat on our expansive terrace with the best view of the NYC skyline.

What's your favorite part about Dream?

This is a tough question. Besides its ideal location and exceptional design features, I think my favorite part about Dream Downtown is that it's a true one-stop-shop. You can spend not only a whole night there, but the entire weekend.

What other projects do you have in the works?

We have a few but aren¹t talking about them yet and right now my main focus is on our existing portfolio, which includes: Avenue, LAVO NY, the fast growing Artichoke Pizzeria & Bar, and now Dream Downtown.
