November is all the rage at 116 MacDougal. There are events up the wazoo happening at this historic venue and there is a 2-for-1 happy hour every night until 9pm (even during events). Whether you're into LOLing, poetry readings, singing till you have no voice or listening to others sing till they drop, there is an event (or two, or three...) for you at 116. Craic Comedy Festival

Radio Amateur Open Stage
Hosted by Nicholas Nace, this is a tribute to non-traditional artists and performers: the unsung heroes of NYC’s art scene, providing 8 minutes of no-strings-attached stage time for anyone ready to perform or pontificate. The 2011-2012 Intangible Slam season launches in its new home at 116, the official IWPS qualifier gearing up for next year’s national competition in Cleveland. This wild poetic ride has the audience as judge – voting Olympics-style – so you decide who stays and who goes. You’ll see long poems! Short poems! Good poems! Bad poems! Medium-well poems! This is not a slam to miss.
