December is here, and with it comes snow, Santa, menorahs, and good holiday cheer! Partake in these fun wintery events that are sure to warm you up and give you something to talk about on your days off by the fire.
The Feast of Seven Fishes - Patsy's Italian Restaurant will be hosting a magnificent Italian feast, running from December 16th- 24th. Derived from their legendary recipes, Patsy's Feast of the Seven Fishes will include a choice of calamari salad or baccala salad, a half-order of linguini with frutti di mare sauce, along with a choice of shrimp scampi, stuffed calamari, shrimp fra diavolo, or tilapia livornese. Dessert takes the feast to another level, with a choice between homemade strufoli (honey balls) or homemade biscotti. The feast will be $59.95/person and it'll be well worth it!
Santa Cruise - Perfect for family fun, this Santa Cruise by Circle Line Sightseeing will cruise around Manhattan for two hours on December 17th from 11am-1pm. Help the needy this holiday and bring along an unwrapped toy, which will be donated to Toys for Tots. Marines will be on deck collecting toy donations, and make sure to receive a complimentary photo with Santa. Did we mention milk 'n' cookies, too?! Tickets are only $3 and can be purchased here.
A Very Yoga Christmas - No, we don't mean you'll be working out all vacation. Check out Joe Yoga's annual all-star variety Christmas show Under St. Marks Theater. Admission is free, although there is a $5 suggested donation. Check out all the deets here.
Free Healthcare- The title may be a bit misleading...we don't mean mending broken bones and prescribing antibiotics for that pesky rash. Instead, get your fill of comedy before the family traditions tire you out. You've got two opportunities to laugh out loud with hosts Ryan Conner and Sean Gabbert at 116 on December 8th and 22nd at 7pm. Admission is $5 and comes with a guaranteed good time.
Cabaret Showdown- Trek to Under St. Marks for this new monthly event on the second Sunday each month. On December 11th, contestants will compete for the chance to star in their own show or cabaret. You heard right! Whether you want to compete or just watch, you will have a ton of fun with host Mark McDaniels, Joshua Stephen Kartes, and special guest judges. Register to compete by sending an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased here.
