From burlesque to nerds, here are 4 upcoming shows to check out!

April 7th, 8pm & 10:30pm

Gotham Burlesque is celebrating their one year anniversary at The Triad Theater, offering two shows in one night! Mr. Exotic World TIGGER! will headline the celebration and he will be joined by the world's fastest and most accurate knife thrower, The Great Throwdini, the Tapping Tornado, Helen Pontani, Minnie Tonka, Justina Flash, Boobess, Shelly Watson, just to name a few. The show will be hosted by Sweetie . Tickets are $45 for premium seating for $35 for general seating and can be purchased here.

April 5th-April 29th, 7:15pm

Check out the US premiere of A Slow Air, by David Harrower, coming from Glasgow and taking off to London shortly. The performance examines the impact of the 2007 Glasgow airport attacks through the eyes of a family who live in a village where the attacks were planned. The show, which debuted in Glasgow, sold out at the 2011 Edinburgh Festival Fringe. The show stars Susan Vidler and Lewis Howden as a brother and sister. The show runs for two weeks only at 59E59 Theaters, Tuesday-Thursday at 7:15pm, Friday at 8:15pm,Saturday at 2:15 and 8:15pm and Sunday at 3:15pm. Tickets are $35 and can be purchased here.

April 19th- June 24th, 8pm

RadioTheatre is presenting their third H.P. Lovecraft festival at The Kraine Theater, showing cult horror classics, an ongoing tribute to the grandmaster of 20th century American horror, H.P. Lovecraft, for a limited time only. Be happily frightened by performances of A Shadow over Innsmouth, The Lurking Fear, The Horror at Martins' Beach, The Evil Clergyman, and The Statement of Randolph Carter, complete with award-winning sound design and original orchestral scores. Tickets are $25 ($20 for students) and available here. The shows will be on Thursday- Saturday at 8pm and Sundays at 3pm.

April 26th- May 19th, 7pm

The New York Neo-Futurists are presenting the world premiere of the nerdcore musical You Are in an Open Field. Step into the mind of a total geek as you watch unique versions of Zork, Minecraft, and Zelda live on stage in the first ever Nerdcore musical. Kevin, Martha and Adam build their own utopian universe, complete with treasures, monsters, and more. Performances will be held Thursday-Saturday at 7pm, with additional performances on April 30th, May 9th, 14th, and 16th. Tickets are on sale at $18 and can be purchased here.
