East Village-based art curating crew, 2feet12inches takes on Miami this December at Art Basel. From December 6th to 9th, the group will debut, The Warrior's Dream, a leading contemporary cultural force centered in New York City.
This exhibition features the work of the emerging and highly regarded collective known as TWD. From design to photography to music to film, graffiti and fine art, this collection is a true visual paradise.
As the art world descends on Miami every December for Art Basel, this year, the TWD crew will join their art-forward friends to transform a raw space on South Beach for the installation.
The exhibition is intended to present contemporary work that explores the ideas, stories, symbols and myths of the ancient world, mixed with the exotic tropics and urban landscape that our environment has become. TWD is taking on the task of expressing the now-wave of cutting edge culture to voice the raw exchange of their tools and their lifestyle. They are influenced by cultures from all different parts of the world and relish in interpreting it into original works of art, a modern day graffiti masonry.
The Warrior's Dream collection featured in this exhibition will consist of paintings, cinema, photography, sculpture and installation. Mixed mediums of oil, acrylic, exterior paint, spray paint, ink, film, paper, balloons, raw materials and found objects from the streets. With collaborators, conspirators and producers The Warrior's Dream intends to achieve an exciting and inspiring experience within the center of the world's largest art gathering.
