Major Lazer, Dragonette To Shut It Down In Chicago
The Congress Theater welcomes Major Lazer and Crew

Chicago is about to "Get Free." React Presents is bringing in the reggae sounds of Major Lazer, featuring Grammy nominated DJ and producer Diplo along with his dancehall crew. Also joining, is Toronto electronic act DRAGONETTE.

The party is going down Saturday, March 2nd at The Congress Theater as part of Major Lazer's "Free The Universe" tour.  Since its inception in 2009, Major Lazer (fronted by Diplo) has revitalized the dancehall movement and has been producing raggae infused sounds that crossover oh so nicely into the electronic dance music world. Just a few projects include working on new albums with Snoop Dogg and No Doubt, playing festivals around the world, and currently on the forefront of releasing their highly anticipated second full length installment, "Free The Universe," which is out Februrary 19 on Diplo's own label, Mad Decent.

Live electronic trio, DRAGONETTE, join Major Lazer at the Congress Theater, currently touring behind their third LP, Bodyparts. The album has received high praise for perfecting Draggonette's take on indie-electro-pop. Fans will instantly recognize the group from their breakout single with Martin Solveig, "Hello." They've also collaborating with dozens of EDM stars, such as Kaskade, Bassment Jaxx, Don Diablo, and others.
