Cielo Turns 10 With Todd Terje & Danny Krivit
The Legendary Nightlife Hotspot on Little West 12th Hits Double Digits

Considered to be one of the most unique nightlife outposts that New York City's Meatpacking District has to offer, Cielo has reigned supreme for an entire decade. Boasting a top of the line Funktion One sound system, this intimate party haven has successfully survived the typical club age expectancy and doesn't appear to be shutting down anytime soon.

Home to esteemed party outfits such as Endless, Dance.Here.Now, Deep Space and Nurvous Events, Cielo has featured nearly every superstar DJ in the industry. From Steve Angello to Seth Troxler to Luciano, this musical dojo has helped NYC's club scene become one of the best in the world. That being said, 2013 marked the venue's 10th birthday and with that a slew of events to help ring in their turning of double digits.

On January 31st, Cielo in collaboration with Nurvous Events invited two legendary DJ/producers to properly celebrate. First helming the decks was one of NYC's most prestigious DJs, Danny Krivit. Celebrating over 40 years as an NYC DJ, Krivit has been apart of nearly every historical dance music milestone the Big Apple has. From The Loft with Larry Levan to his infamous 718 Sessions residency, Krivit is one of the most established talents in all of house music. Featuring a set list that consisted of old school disco and rare classic house, Krivit created an unbelievable party vibe. Playing tracks such as Smith N Hack's 'Disco Our Friends' and Hamilton Bohanon's 'Let's Start The Dance', Danny created an atmosphere comparable to that of the legendary Studio 54.

A little after 2am, Todd Terje jumped into the booth and what ensued was a trip down the deeper realms of sound. Considered to be the best talents to ever hail from Scandinavia, Mr.Terje presented Cielo attendees with an opportunity to slow things down and to truly be engulfed by some authentic deep house. Playing some of his eclectic originals like 'Inspector Norse' and 'Snooze 4 Love', Terje inspired attendees to dig deep and truly lose themselves in the music.

Overall, this event was not just appealing to deep house lovers. Rather than isolate a specific genre group, both Mr.Krivit and Todd hit multiple sound spectrum's and creatively infused different elements that had the room going wild. With this party celebrating Cielo's big 10th year, it may be safe to assume that this party will remain as one of the best this year.
