Fast Track For fall
On your mark… get set…go!

The summer season is coming to an end, and the cool air and colorful leaves of fall are quickly approaching. But just because the weather is getting cooler, doesn't mean we can't maintain our hot bodies! Running is a great way to stay in shape and it is also excellent for your cardiovascular health.

Here are a few great ideas to keep you in top  fitness form :

Running Clubs

Get your Forrest Gump on! There are enough running clubs around NYC to go around, and don’t worry you don’t have to be an Olympic long distance runner or the Incredible Flash to join--beginners are more than welcome to participate. Here are a few running clubs to consider, and best of all, they are free to join!

Meatpacking District Running Club:  Runners go through a one-hour long, coached workout in the Meatpacking District and along the Hudson River. The trainers split attendants into groups based on fitness levels. This running club meets on Tuesdays at 6:30 pm.

Niketown Running Club:  Just do it! This club meets three times per week at the 57th Street store.  We warn you, this will not be a walk in the park! Expect some drill HIIT intervals, hills, and sprints. The Niketown Running Club meets in Central Park. And there’s also a club that meets at their Flatiron location. Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6:30 pm, Saturdays, 9:00 am.

If old school running does not get you motivated, you can try “pakouring.” Ever wanted to reenact your favorite action movie stunt? Parkour is the perfect way to do so. Parkour, also known as free running ,is a new age fitness trend that includes running, climbing, swinging, vaulting, jumoing, and rolling in an insane obstacle course. It is insanely fun.

Parkour classes to consider:

Bklyn Beast- Located in Bushwick, it is the city’s first parkour gym. Your training will be an incomparable experience.
