Lunch Beat NYC, which started in Sweden in 2010, when founder Molly Ränge and 14 of her co-workers danced in a parking garage to a mixtape on their lunch break, is hitting Manhattan on Wednesday, April 24th from 12:30pm- 1:30pm at Slate club in Flatiron. Prepare to daytime disco as a DJ spins the beats while host venue Slate serves a healthy vegetarian lunch—all included in the $12 ticket price!
The first Lunch Beat in Manhattan is being organized by New York City residents Sarah Reynolds and Isha Toor. "All we want people to do is to forget about their work for one hour, decompress, and dance in a fun, healthy environment," said organizers Toor and Reynolds. The dynamic duo hopes to help spread the Lunch Beat movement throughout the neighborhoods of NYC and is excited to bring people from different walks of life and various backgrounds together through the common language of dance and fun!
