NIGHT STALKER
West 8th St. in Greenwich Village Heating Up!

West 8th Street in Greenwich Village has never been thought of as a hotspot for New York City nightlife. However, new restaurants, a new boutique hotel, and a world renowned nightclub have changed the face of West 8th, once more known for its shoe stores and small businesses than its trendiness.

Pink Elephant, the high-end nightclub run by David Sarner and Robert Montwaid, resurrected itself in the former Club Love space last year. Since its opening, the retro-glam venue with its rainbow-colored lights, half-moon disco balls, Infinity Room and cocktails by mixologist Ben Wood, have been packing its dance floors with celebrities, socialites and trendsetters alike.

THE HOT SPOT
Lunch Beat Launches In NYC

Ever thought about ditching your desk at work to skip out for a mid-day dance party during lunch? Well, you now have that opportunity! Lunch Beat NYC, which started in Sweden in 2010, when founder Molly Ränge and 14 of her co-workers danced in a parking garage to a mixtape on their lunch break, is hitting Manhattan on Wednesday, April 24th from 12:30pm- 1:30pm at Slate club in Flatiron. Prepare to daytime disco as a DJ spins the beats while host venue Slate serves a healthy vegetarian lunch—all included in the $12 ticket price!
The first Lunch Beat in Manhattan is being organized by New York City residents Sarah Reynolds and Isha Toor. "All we want people to do is to forget about their work for one hour, decompress, and dance in a fun, healthy environment," said organizers Toor and Reynolds. The dynamic duo hopes to help spread the Lunch Beat movement throughout the neighborhoods of NYC and is excited to bring people from different walks of life and various backgrounds together through the common language of dance and fun! Anyone can start a Lunch Beat by following the startup guidelines of the global movement, found via their website here.

Check the details for the event below and plan to wear your dancing shoes on April 24th!
