Throw on a leather jacket and head to the Lower East Side for Rochelle's edgy New Year's Eve bash that redefines how New Yorkers are partying. Celebrate the end of an exhausting year at a historic crawl with a big personality. This isn't an uptown party for stuffed-shirt types -- the Lower East Side knows how to get wild.
Follow the blue neon sign on the corner of Chrystie and Stanton St, and say hi to the cheeky mural of Rochelle's legs on the way in. Get started with a night of New Year's Eve impropriety with the five hour premium open bar, where tattooed and bearded bartenders will create you stiff drinks from their vast selection of brown spirits. Satisfy yourself with a variety of delicious passed hors d'oeuvres before you hit the dance floor, enjoying a high-energy mix of hip hop, Top 40, and classic rock anthems from a live DJ. As the New Year approaches, countdown to midnight with the crowd and throw back a complimentary glass of champagne.
Named after a mutual romantic interest of the bar's two founders, famed NYC restaurateurs Brett David and Stephen Yorsz, Rochelle's is a bodega-turned-bar with a big personality. This LES hotspot has industrial features like decorative subway tiles, vaulted wooden ceilings and Edison-bulbs cascading around the open dance area.
